Map My School Tool

District 15 is excited to share its new Map My School Tool which allows families to type in their home address to see where their "home school" assignment is on the updated boundary map.
*Please keep in mind that the Map My Schools Tool may not reflect school assignments due to programmatic placement. To view the full list of schols by bus tier, along with the programmatic placement at each school, click on the Bus Tiers and Program Placements tab below. Dismissal FAQs
Q: What if my child goes to after school STAR?
A: Students attending HEPD STAR will line up inside the school along the hallway outside the MPR.
Q: Why did you change the entrance/direction of the car line?
A: We collaborated closely with the Village of Hoffman Estates to improve traffic flow. Changing the direction of the cars allows us to accommodate three times as many vehicles (22 cars instead of 7), which helps to reduce traffic congestion in the surrounding neighborhoods.
Q: Will my car rider get a number this year?
A: No, we are not giving out car numbers this year. Instead, students in Kindergarten and First Grade will get a Last Name sign that parents can bring to the door for a safe, easy dismissal.
Q: Why do car riders not have numbers this year?
A: To streamline the dismissal process and reduce congestion, we are encouraging parents to park and meet their children at designated locations. Please refer to the map of “green” zones provided by HEPD. This approach aligns with the dismissal procedures used in other District 15 elementary schools.
Q: Will you still have a car line?
A: Yes, we will have a car line; however, we encourage parents to park and meet their students at the door or at a family-designated location. The car line will be operational, but we will not line up all students on the grass. Students will be responsible for finding their car in the line and getting into the vehicle as it pulls up to the sidewalk. They must enter the vehicle from the driver's side. Parents of kindergarten and first-grade students may use their last name sign for assistance. Staff members will be present at all times to help.
Q: Why are students dismissing from different doors?
A: This dismissal procedure is common across District 15 and helps reduce congestion when students are exiting the school.
Q: What if I have a student at 2 different exits?
A: We recommend the older student meets the younger student outside, or meet at a family planned location.
Q: How can I ensure my students gets to the car and/or walks home safely?
A: To ensure students arrive at the car or walk/bike home safely, we have crossing guards stationed at Westbury Dr. & Thornbark Dr., Westbury Dr. & Haman Ave., and Freeman Rd. & Eisenhower Circle.
Q: Should my dismissal plan be shared with my student’s teacher?
A: Yes, please share your dismissal plans with your student’s teacher.
Q: What should I do if I need to change my dismissal plan for that day?
A: Please contact your student’s teacher and the main office. It is helpful to communicate this no later than 2:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 1:30 PM on Friday. Please call the front office and send a communication through ParentSquare/Email.
Q: Will you still be dismissing from the MPR when there is inclement weather?
A: No, students will be dismissed from their respective doors. Umbrellas are encouraged.

School Parking
Report an Absence: 847-963-7201
Our first concern when a child is absent is to verify the child’s safety. For that reason, it is very important that the school office knows the whereabouts of your child(ren) when they are absent or will be late arriving at school.

Absence Line:
847-963-7201
When your child is absent or late, it is your responsibility to call the school absence line or the school office to notify the staff of your child’s absence. Please state your child’s full name, the teacher’s name, the date of the absence, and the reason for the absence. Please do not leave this information on your child’s teacher’s voice mail or e-mail. Substitute teachers do not have access to teachers’ voice-mail or e-mail.
If your child’s whereabouts are unknown, every effort will be made to reach you using the phone numbers you have provided. Please make sure that your child’s school office has all current phone numbers on record. If you have not notified the school with the reason of an absence and the school office has exhausted all attempts to reach you, your child will be marked truant for that school day and any other school day that your child is unaccounted for.

Health care provided in the school health office is to support your child, allowing students to return to their classrooms. The nurse is available to work in collaboration with your child's primary healthcare provider. If you require assistance in obtaining a primary healthcare provider, please reach out to the health office for a list of community resources.
Nurses positively affect student attendance. A registered nurse at school every day allows for prompt and professional responses to health concerns and medical issues. In the event of illness or accidents, the nurse provides emergency care.
Responsibilities of the nurse include first aid and illness care, the maintenance of student health records, the development of healthcare plans, and screenings for student vision and hearing needs. Parents/guardians are encouraged to bring questions about immunizations, health exams, medications, or student health needs to the nurse.
The Health Services staff believes family is an essential part of good health. Your input is valued and welcome. Please feel free to ask questions, share thoughts, and exchange health information. We look forward to partnering with you!
Questions? For more information about medication administration, individual health care plans, health exam forms/immunizations, and more, please contact your school nurse or visit the Health Services webpage.

- Have an adult supervisor remain at the door until all members of the group have arrived.
- Do not put any items in the door to block it open. The doors must remain locked at all times.
- Make sure that once your group has entered the building, all participants stay in the assigned area. An adult supervisor should accompany any child that needs to leave the assigned area.
- Have all coaches and group leaders inform parents of exclusion dates so that children are not dropped off on evenings when there is no activity.
